We knew we were getting an upgrade to our old electric dryer, but this dryer is the ultimate in ease of use, energy efficiency and all the bells and whistles we would ever want. The capacity it holds saves us time and money alone!

Was hoping this dryer would be as simple as throw the clothes in, power on the dryer, press start and come back in an hour to fully dry clothes. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case in the 8 months the dryer has been in use. Pros:- Lots of options.- Easy to install.- Non-energy saver options dry clothes well.- Flow Sense has alerted me to fix the duct venting.- Can download very specific cycles (e.g. socks, towels, kids clothes, etc.) to dryer with the LG Smartthinq appCons:- Biggest issue with the dryer is that the default setting is ENERGY SAVER enabled. With this option enabled any medium or large load is still damp after the cycle ends. The workaround is to press the ENERGY SAVER button everytime the dyer is used. Unfortunately, family members that use the dryer often forget to do so and will have to run the dryer another cycle.- Requires thorough and repeated reading of the user's manual to understand the various options and error codes.- The options are laid out in a sort of Cayley table and who has time to figure that out?- The LG Smartthinq app is not very intuitive to use. It would be nice if the app gave a better description of the specific cycles.- I'm hard of hearing, the end cycle jingles does me no good. It would be better if the NFC tag could transmit a timer to my phone for the cycle time duration.

Love all the features

I have been using my LG dryer for a few weeks. I like the timed settings and the differrent options for drying. My husbands shirts and pants are dryed to damp dry and i dont have to remember to remove them before they are completely dry anymore.

What were you thinking when you changed from a signal buzzer to a melody to signal the end of the cycle? You seriously can't expect people to hear this when the dryer is in the basement. Silly!Dryer works great, I just wish I didn't have to set a timer upstairs to remind me when the dryer is scheduled to shut off. I would recommend the dryer but with reservations.
